Shane M. Johnson is the Director of Business Development and Manager of Investment Services. He joined J.R. Burke in January 2011 after eight years with two regional insurance and annuity brokerage firms. During that time, he designed and helped implement insurance and annuity solutions for clients of the financial professionals he partnered with, including various Registered Representatives, CPAs, and Insurance Consultants. This experience, coupled with a passion to serve the unique needs of clients, led him to join Perspective Financial Group. In his current role, Shane works closely on all new and existing client situations and has emerged as an ideal candidate to be a successor owner.
Shane graduated from Shippensburg University with a BSBA, and dual major in finance and economics. He studied international business finance and economics while living abroad, at Aarhus School of Business in Denmark. Shane Johnson has completed 7 out of the 9 ChFC® Exams offered by The American College. The Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) program covers the advanced financial planning needs of individuals, professionals and small business owners, with an emphasis on income taxation, retirement planning, investments, insurance and estate planning.
A resident of West Brandywine, Chester County, Shane has lived there for five years with his wife, Tiffany and serves on the area's Parks & Recreation Board. He is actively involved in numerous non-profit organizations; one devoted to serving the needs of Veterans and another focused on Autism Research. Shane ran his first Half-Marathon in 2011 for the benefit of this organization. Shane is an alumnus of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity.
